1. Scope
This national standard specifies general low alloy steel-cast ordering, technical requirements, test method, test rules, qualification, marking and packaging of heavy steel casting.
This Standard is applicable to sand casting or castings of casting moulds with thermal conduction are similar to that of the sand mould.
2. Normative references
The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this Standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments (excluding content of corrigenda) to, or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, Parties to agreements based on this Standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below. For undated houses, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.

3. Ordering Requirements
The purchaser shall provide drawing, trademark and delivery states of the castings to the supplier, while other technical requirements are agreed upon by mutual agreement.
4. Technical Requirements
4.1Manufacturing
4.1.1 Smelting
The steel for castings shall smelted by induction furnace, arc furnace, refined-smelting ladle furnace, or other adequate melting method confirmed by both the supplier and the purchaser.
4.1.2 Casting
The casting method, excepted as otherwise stated herein, is solved by the supplier itself
4.1.3 Heat Treatment
The casting shall be heat-treated, unless otherwise specified, the supplier may make heat treatment according to the mechanical properties requirements.
4.1.4 Repair Welding
The supplier may make repair welding for the casting defects according to provisions of JB/T 5000.7.
4.1.5 Straightening
The deformation of the casting may be eliminated by straightening, and the straightening is usually operated at room temperature, heat straightening may be adopted in particular cases.
