towing truck
trucks with special devices for towing draw bar trailer and centre-axle trailer.
Note: It is derived from JT/T 719-2016, 3.2.
3.3
centre-axle trailer
trailers where the towing device cannot move vertically (relative to the trailer) and the axle of the trailer is located close to the center of gravity of the trailer (in the case of uniform load). The vertical static load acting on the towing truck shall not exceed 10% or 10,000 N (whichever is smaller) of the maximum design total mass of the trailer.
Note: It is derived from GB/T 3730.1-2001, 2.2.3.
3.4
draw bar trailer
full trailer
trailers with at least two shafts, one of which is rotatable and connected with a towing truck through a draw bar moving in an angular direction; the draw bar can move vertically and is connected to the vehicle without bearing any vertical force.
Note: It is derived from GB/T 3730.1-2001, 2.2.1.
3.5
articulated vehicle
semi-trailer vehicle combination
combination of semi-trailer towing vehicle and semitrailer.
Note: It is derived from GB 7258-2017, 3.4.3.
3.6
centre axle trailer combination
combination of towing truck and centre-axle trailer.
Note: It is derived from GB 7258-2017, 3.4.2.2.
3.7
draw bar trailer combination
combination of towing truck and draw bar trailer.
Note: It is derived from GB 7258-2017, 3.4.2.1.
