Belt 1 Scope This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of belt. This standard is applicable to belts of everyday use made of materials such as leather, fur, artificial leather/synthetic leather, reclaimed leather and textiles. Table 1 Limit of Harmful Matters in Leather, Fur, Reclaimed Leather and Textile Materials In: mg/kg Item Limit Free formaldehyde ≤ 300 Dissoluble harmful aromatic amine dyes ≤ 30 Note: see Annex A of GB 20400 for the names of banned aromatic amines. If the content of 4-aminobiphenyl and (or) 2-naphthylamine exceeds 30mg/kg, and there is no other evidence, it cannot be judged that the banned azo colourants are used based on existing scientific knowledge. 5.1.2 Metal fittings They shall meet the requirements of QB/T 2002.1 and QB/T 2002.2. 5.2 Appearance quality and sewing (adhesion) requirements Requirements of Table 2 shall be met. Table 2 Appearance Quality and Sewing (Adhesion) Requirements No. Item Requirement 1 Surface and inner material Leather and reclaimed leather The leather surface is flat, uniform in thickness, and is free from peeling, fracture or cracking. No serious creases or cuts in leather surface which allows three spots of unobvious minor disfigurements or mat patches to exist, no larger than 9mm2 for each spot. Fur basically smooth, glossy, loose and clean fur; no crochet; no obvious hair loss, oily hair or knot hair; strong dyeing with no floating color Artificial/synthetic leather Without obvious mark, unevenness and lump Textile No obvious defects such as broken warp, broken weft, skipped yarn, skipped thread, visible mark, stain or spot; three minor defects may exist in secondary positions Other materials No defect affecting normal use and no defects that seriously affect the appearance 2 Belt hole and belt teeth Consistent with belt key, and no burr; firmly fixed with uniform spacing between teeth 3 Belt edge Smooth, no decoloration and no defects such as bubbles and cracks on surface. 4 Belt bottom Strong and rounded off 5 Belt bottom Basically flat 6 Belt body Neat, with smooth fittings and no burrs 7 Swing head With uniform thickness no less than 1.5mm 8 Metal pieces Rustless, burr-free and uniformly-coated; shadow scratch is allowable on the rear surface; firmly and regularly fixed 9 Belt loop Sleeved on the belt body with matchable size and suitable connecting piece. 10 Sewing and adhesion requirements Stitch length 6~12 stitches/30mm (except ornamental thread) Stitch margin 1.5mm~3.0mm (except ornamental thread) Stitches Straight, uniform, consistent-in-elasticity and free of visible skewness; free of dropped stitches, missing stitches, skipped stitches, floating thread and double needle holes Adhesion Firmly adhered without degumming 5.3 Physical and mechanical properties They shall meet the requirements of Table 3 and in case of woven belt, only bonding force between belt key and belt body is subject to inspection.
