SH 3533-2003 Specification for the construction and acceptance of piping works for watersupply and drainage in petrochemical industry (English Version)
1 Scope
1.1 This specification specifies the requirements and quality criteria for the construction of piping works for watersupply and drainage with design pressure less than or equal to 1.6MPa.
1.2 This specification is applicable to the construction and acceptance of buried and overground pipeline for watersupply and drainage of newly-built, renovated and extended works in petrochemical industry engineering construction. Renovation, overhaul and other works may refer to this specification.
1.3 The piping works for watersupply and drainage in petrochemical industry cover the following pipeline and pipeline structures:
a) Pipeline:
1) Production and domestic water supply pipeline;
2) Fire-fighting pipeline;
3) Circulating water pipeline;
4) Production and domestic sewage pipeline;
5) Rain drainage pipeline;
6) Pipeline in water treatment and circulating cooling facilities.
b) Pipeline structures:
1) Watersupply and drainage well room;
2) Water inlet (outlet);
3) Buttress (retaining pier).
1.4 This specification is not applicable to the following watersupply and drainage pipeline:
a) Domestic watersupply and drainage pipeline in buildings;
b) Water pipeline of pipe duct type.
Note: Water pipeline of pipe duct type refers to the water pipeline with special-shaped section such as circular, rectangular and arched, which is built with brick, stone and concrete block, poured in place with reinforced concrete and assembled with reinforced concrete precast member.
