3 Type Dimension and Designation
3.1 Type Dimension
Cut-out cock may be classified into two types, i.e. cut-out cock with/without electric signal output; tube-type installation or plate-type installation may be adopted for each type.
Type dimension is detailed in Annex A. For the type not listed in Annex A, its dimension is determined through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
3.2 Designation
Model designation of cut-out cock is defined as follows:
Designation example:
For the cut-out cock with air vent, whose nominal diameter is DN15, joint thread is G thread, handle is long, red and at air inlet side, and which is closed via counterclockwise rotation, it is designated as: DN15G/1A3LE TB/T 3456-2016 Cut-out Cock for EMU/DMU.
Key
1, 2, 3, 4—Handle position when the cut-out cock is open; butterfly handles are at positions 1 and 2;
P1——Air Inlet;
P2——Air outlet;
V——Airflow direction;
L——Counterclockwise rotation:
R——Clockwise rotation.
