3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
air disinfecting machine
device that has independent power and can operate independently, and is used to kill or remove the microorganisms in indoor air with physical, chemical or other methods, so as to reach disinfection requirements and
3.2
decay rate
percentage of bacteria in the air that naturally disappear or die
3.3
extinction rate
percentage of the total number of bacteria in the air that naturally decayed and killed by disinfection
3.4
killing rate
percentage used for expressing the reduction number of microorganisms in microorganism killing test
4 Classification
4.1 Classification by working principle
4.1.1 Air disinfecting machines using physical agents: air disinfecting machines used to kill or remove microorganisms in the air by electrostatic adsorption, filtration technology and ultraviolet so as to reach the disinfection requirements, which may be used for indoor air disinfection when people are present, such as electrostatic adsorption air disinfecting machine, HEPA and ultraviolet appliance for air disinfection.
4.1.2 Air disinfecting machines using chemical agents: air disinfecting machines used to kill microorganisms in the air by the generated chemical agents so as to reach the disinfection requirements, which are only used for disinfection of indoor air when no people are present, such as chlorine dioxide air disinfecting machine, ozone air disinfecting machine, hydrogen peroxide air disinfecting machine and peroxyacetic acid air disinfecting machine.
4.1.3 Air disinfecting machines using other agents: air disinfecting machines used to kill microorganisms in the air by other agents so as to reach the disinfection requirements, such as plasma air disinfecting machine and photocatalyst air disinfecting machine.
4.2 Classification by installation mode
