1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This specification is formulated with a view to realizing state-of-the-art technology, rational economy, safety & usability, and good quality in the design, construction and acceptance of PVC-U pipe work for building drainage.
1.0.2 This Specification is applicable to the design, construction and acceptance of domestic drainage pipe with continuous drainage temperature not greater than 4℃ and instantaneous drainage temperature not greater than 80℃ in the industrial and civil buildings not greater than 100m high.
1.0.3 The pipes and pipe fittings of PVC-U pipe for building drainage shall meet the requirements of the current national standard "Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride pipes for drainage in buildings" (GB/T 5836.1), "Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) pipes with a cellular core for drainage" (GB/T 16800) and "Unplasticized polyvinyl chloride fittings for drainage in buildings" (GB/T 5836.2).
1.0.4 The design, construction and acceptance of PVC-U pipe work for building drainage shall not only meet the requirements of this Specification, but also those in the national current relevant standards.
