1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods and judgment on the same type of front and rear protective devices for passenger cars.
It is applicable to front and rear protective devices for Category M1 motor vehicles.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
protective device
device located at the front and rear ends of the vehicle for protecting the vehicle from serious injury in the event of a low-speed impact
Note: Protective devices include bumper fascia and its fixing parts, foam parts, beam and its connecting parts, rear plate, stringer and energy-dissipation part, as well as other components installed on the bumper fascia.
3.2
reference line
intersection line between the symmetrical horizontal plane of the impact head and the contour of the impact head itself when plane A of the impactor (see Figure 1) is perpendicular to the horizontal ground
3.3
reference height
vertical distance between the transverse horizontal plane across the impactor reference line and the horizontal ground
