Safety technical conditions for continuous casting machines
1 Scope
This document specifies the safety requirements, safety measures, and verification requirements of continuous casting machine equipment during design, manufacture, assembly, transportation, installation, adjustment, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and shutdown. Besides, it specifies the key information for use of marking, alarm, delivery, and other steps during transportation, assembly, operation, and maintenance of continuous casting machine equipment.
This document is applicable to continuous casting machines such as slab billet, square billet, rectangular billet, special-shaped billet, round billet, and other similar equipment (such as horizontal continuous casting machines, continuous casting machines for endless rolling production lines, etc.).

operation area for molten steel casting, continuous casting production, equipment installation, maintenance, and spot inspection, which is composed of steel structure or reinforced concrete
Note: The height of the casting platform shall match the height of the top surface of the mold of the continuous casting machine.

mechatronic system for cutting the casting billet to a desired length

cooling bed and product collecting system
site for transporting, cooling, finishing, cleaning, grinding, collecting, and storing casting billets
4 Classification of continuous casting machine equipment and major hazards
4.1 Classification of continuous casting machine equipment
4.1.1 Casting platform equipment
The casting platform equipment consists of the following main single equipment:
a) Ladle transport supporting systems, such as ladle turrets, ladle cars, and auxiliary equipment;
b) Tundish and its related equipment, such as tundish supporting system (car or rotating table), tundish and immersed nozzle preheating system, molten steel sampling system, pneumatic sample delivery system, molten steel temperature measurement system, etc.;
c) Steel stream flow protection casting system for ladle and tundish to prevent secondary oxidation;
d) Ladle and tundish steel stream flow control system;
e) Ladle slag outflow detection system;
