本标准规定了水电站符合下列条件之一的水轮发电机组、进水阀门的自动化件（装置）及其系统的基本技术要求、试验方法及验收规则、标志、包装等内容。A) 单机容量为3 000kW及以上；B) 其水轮机为混流式、冲击式时，转轮名义直径1.0m及以上；C) 其水轮机为轴流式、斜流式、贯流式时，转轮名义直径1.4m及以上。抽水蓄能可逆式机组和小于以上范围的水轮发电机组可参照执行。
