GB/T 21449-2008 Water glycol fire-resistant hydraulic fluids
1 Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of water glycol fire-resistant hydraulic fluids, which is made with water and diols (including ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, propylene glycol, etc.) as the base components and various additives such as anti-wear agents, oiliness agents and rust inhibitors.
The products covered by this standard are applicable to hydraulic systems with fire-resistant requirements in industries such as metallurgy, mechanical manufacturing, and mining. For example: the hydraulic system of electric furnace in a steel plant, the hydraulic system of high-speed wire rod mill, the hydraulic system of plate rolling machine in a hot continuous rolling mill, etc.
