Introduction of GB/T 2433-2001

1.1 This standard specifies the method to determine the mass fraction of sulfated ash in the unused lubricating oil with additives and the additive concentrate used for blending lubricating oil. These additives generally contain one or several kinds of metallic elements: barium, calcium, magnesium, zinc, potassium, sodium and tin element. However, elements such as sulfur, phosphorus and chlorine exist in combined form.
