Codeofchina.com is in charge of this English translation. In case of any doubt about the English translation, the Chinese original shall be considered authoritative. This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This standard replaces GB/T 7596-2008 In-service quality criteria of turbine oils used in power plants, and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 7596-2008: ——the name is revised; ——the scope is revised; ——the versions of normative references are updated and revised; ——the quality indexes of in-service turbine oils and those of in-service gas turbine oils are combined; ——the indexes including “flash point”, “foaminess” and “air release value” are added to the quality criteria of in-service gas turbine oils used in power plants; ——the index “mechanical impurities” is deleted from the quality indexes of in-service turbine oils used in power plants; ——for in-service turbine oils, the index “chromaticity” is added; ——the indexes including solid particle contamination level, foaminess, RBOT value and antioxidant content are revised; ——Annex A is revised to "SAE AS4059F particulate contamination classification standard". This standard was proposed by the China Electricity Council (CEC). This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Electrochemistry of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 322). The previous editions of the standard replaced by this standard are as follow: ——GB/T 7596-1987, GB/T 7596-2000 and GB/T 7596-2008. In-service quality criteria of mineral turbine oils used in power plants 1 Scope This standard specifies the quality criteria of mineral turbine oils used for lubrication and speed regulation of turbine, water turbine and gas turbine systems in power plants. This standard is applicable to the quality supervision of mineral turbine oils used for lubrication and speed regulation of turbine, water turbine and gas turbine systems in power plants. It may also be referred to for the quality criteria of mineral turbine oils used for phase modifiers, water pumps and other power plant equipment. This standard is not applicable to all kinds of synthetic liquid used for lubrication and speed regulation of turbine. 2 Normative references The following referenced documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
