1 Scope This standard specifies determination of flammability of rigid cellular plastic with vertical burning method. This standard is applicable to the assessment of vertical flammability of rigid cellular plastic under laboratory conditions. This standard is not applicable to materials subject to melt-dropping and sintering during burning. This standard does not serve as a basis for evaluating the risk of fire under actual service conditions. 2 Normative References The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections), or revisions, any of these publications do not apply to this standard. The height and duration of flame and the mass percent retained by the specimen are recorded.
