NB/T 47003.1-2022 Atmospheric pressure vessels - Part 1: Steel welded atmospheric pressure vessels 1 Scope 1.1 This document specifies the requirements for the design, fabrication, inspection and testing, and acceptance of steel welded atmospheric pressure vessels (hereinafter referred to as "vessels"). 1.2 This document applies to the vessels with the following design pressure and design temperature ranges: a) Cylindrical vessels: design pressure: >-0.02MPa and <0.1MPa; design temperature: ≤350℃. b) Rectangular vessels: design pressure: 0MPa; design temperature: ≤350℃. 1.3 This document applies to the following structural forms: a) Vertical cylindrical vessels with lug, leg, bracket, skirt or rigid ring supports; b) Horizontal cylindrical vessels; c) Rectangular vessels. 1.4 This document does not apply to the following types of vessels: a) Vessels subjected to direct flame heating; b) Vessels exposed to nuclear radiation; c) Vessels containing extremely or highly toxic contents; d) Vessels buried directly in the ground; e) Liftable gas holders; f) Vessels that are frequently handled; g) Silos; h) Cylindrical vessels with a geometric volume of greater than 300m3; i) Vertical vessels supported by skirt with a height-to-average-diameter ratio of greater than 5; j) Low-temperature pressure vessels. 1.5 Boundary scope of vessels: The boundary scope of a vessel within this document refers to the vessel shell and the parts and components connected with it as a whole, and is delimited within the following scope. a) Connections between the vessel and the external tubes: 1) The groove end face of the first circumferential joint in welded connection; 2) The end face of the first threaded joint in threaded connection; 3) The first flange sealing surface in flange connection; 4) The first sealing surface connected with special connecting pieces or pipe fittings. b) Formed heads, flat covers and fasteners for nozzles, manholes, handholes, etc. c) Accessories such as support parts, opening reinforcement parts, and backing plates of the vessel, and their joint welds with the shell. d) Safety accessories and instruments directly installed on the vessel. 2 Normative references The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this document. Part 5: Support lugs with rigid rings YB/T 5092 Stainless steel wires for welding 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 26929 and the following apply. 3.1 pressure force acting vertically on a unit surface area of a vessel, which, unless otherwise indicated, refers to gauge pressure in this document 3.2 operating pressure maximum possible pressure on the top of a vessel under normal operating conditions 3.3 design pressure preset maximum pressure on the top of a vessel, which shall be taken as the basic design load conditions together with the corresponding design temperature, and the value of which shall not be less than the operating pressure 3.4 calculation pressure pressure used to determine the part thickness at the corresponding design temperature, including additional loads such as the static pressure of liquid column 3.5 test pressure pressure on the top of a vessel during pressure test or leakage test 3.6 metal temperature average temperature along the metal section of the vessel part 3.7 design temperature metal temperature set for parts when the vessel is under normal operating conditions, which, together with the design pressure, is taken as the design load conditions 3.8 test temperature metal temperature of the vessel shell during pressure test or leakage test 3.9 minimum design metal temperature minimum metal temperature of each part under various possible conditions expected during the operation of the vessel when such vessel is designed 3.10 required thickness thickness calculated using the formulae given in each clause, which shall also include, if necessary, the thickness required for other loads (see 4.3.2) 3.11 design thickness sum of required thickness and corrosion allowance 3.12 nominal thickness sum of design thickness and negative deviation of steel thickness, rounded up to the nearest standard thickness of steel 3.13 effective thickness thickness obtained by deducting the corrosion allowance and negative deviation of steel thickness from the nominal thickness 3.14 minimum required fabrication thickness minimum thickness required to ensure meeting the design requirements after the pressure part is fabricated 3.15 low-temperature pressure vessel vessels made of carbon steel, low alloy steel, duplex stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel with a design temperature of less than -20℃ and those made of austenitic stainless steel with a design temperature of less than -196℃ 4 General requirements 4.1 General 4.1.1 In addition to the requirements of this document, the design, fabrication, inspection and testing, and acceptance of the vessels shall also comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the nation as well as safety technical specifications. 4.1.2 The design unit and fabrication unit of the vessels shall establish and effectively implement a sound quality management system. 4.2 Responsibilities 4.2.1 Responsibilities of the user and the design entrusting party The user or design entrusting party of the vessels shall submit the User's Design Specification (UDS) to the design unit in due written form, at least incorporating: a) The main standards and specifications on which the vessel design is based; b) Operating parameters (including operating pressure, operating temperature range, liquid level, and nozzle load); c) Place of use and natural conditions (including ambient temperature, seismic precautionary intensity, wind load, and snow load); d) Components and characteristics of the contents; e) Expected service life; f) Geometric parameters and orifice orientation; g) Other necessary conditions required for design. 4.2.2 Responsibilities of the design unit a) The design unit shall be responsible for the correctness and integrity of the design documents;

Part 5: Support lugs with rigid rings YB/T 5092 Stainless steel wires for welding 3 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 26929 and the following apply. 3.1 pressure force acting vertically on a unit surface area of a vessel, which, unless otherwise indicated, refers to gauge pressure in this document 3.2 operating pressure maximum possible pressure on the top of a vessel under normal operating conditions 3.3 design pressure preset maximum pressure on the top of a vessel, which shall be taken as the basic design load conditions together with the corresponding design temperature, and the value of which shall not be less than the operating pressure 3.4 calculation pressure pressure used to determine the part thickness at the corresponding design temperature, including additional loads such as the static pressure of liquid column 3.5 test pressure pressure on the top of a vessel during pressure test or leakage test 3.6 metal temperature average temperature along the metal section of the vessel part 3.7 design temperature metal temperature set for parts when the vessel is under normal operating conditions, which, together with the design pressure, is taken as the design load conditions 3.8 test temperature metal temperature of the vessel shell during pressure test or leakage test 3.9 minimum design metal temperature minimum metal temperature of each part under various possible conditions expected during the operation of the vessel when such vessel is designed 3.10 required thickness thickness calculated using the formulae given in each clause, which shall also include, if necessary, the thickness required for other loads (see 4.3.2) 3.11 design thickness sum of required thickness and corrosion allowance 3.12 nominal thickness sum of design thickness and negative deviation of steel thickness, rounded up to the nearest standard thickness of steel 3.13 effective thickness thickness obtained by deducting the corrosion allowance and negative deviation of steel thickness from the nominal thickness 3.14 minimum required fabrication thickness minimum thickness required to ensure meeting the design requirements after the pressure part is fabricated 3.15 low-temperature pressure vessel vessels made of carbon steel, low alloy steel, duplex stainless steel and ferritic stainless steel with a design temperature of less than -20℃ and those made of austenitic stainless steel with a design temperature of less than -196℃ 4 General requirements 4.1 General 4.1.1 In addition to the requirements of this document, the design, fabrication, inspection and testing, and acceptance of the vessels shall also comply with the relevant laws and regulations of the nation as well as safety technical specifications. 4.1.2 The design unit and fabrication unit of the vessels shall establish and effectively implement a sound quality management system. 4.2 Responsibilities 4.2.1 Responsibilities of the user and the design entrusting party The user or design entrusting party of the vessels shall submit the User's Design Specification (UDS) to the design unit in due written form, at least incorporating: a) The main standards and specifications on which the vessel design is based; b) Operating parameters (including operating pressure, operating temperature range, liquid level, and nozzle load); c) Place of use and natural conditions (including ambient temperature, seismic precautionary intensity, wind load, and snow load); d) Components and characteristics of the contents; e) Expected service life; f) Geometric parameters and orifice orientation; g) Other necessary conditions required for design. 4.2.2 Responsibilities of the design unit a) The design unit shall be responsible for the correctness and integrity of the design documents;
