direct cooling system
system that uses a refrigerant as a heat transfer medium to cool the battery
3.3
heating system
system that uses a heating device to heat the battery
3.3.1
electric heating film
heating device consisting of a heating element, an insulating coating, a lead-out wire and a plug/receptacle connector, etc.
3.3.2
positive temperature coefficient heating
heating device consisting of a heat-sensitive heat-generating element producing PTC effect, and a package, etc.
3.4
thermal insulation system
system that uses a thermal insulation material for thermal insulation/isolation of the battery
3.5
battery control unit (BCU)
electronic device that controls, manages, tests, or calculates electrical and thermal related parameters of the battery system and provides communication between the battery system and other vehicle controllers
3.6
maximum temperature
highest temperature of cells in the battery pack measured by the temperature sensor
3.7
minimum temperature
