1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements and test methods for electric vehicle traction battery (hereinafter referred to as “battery”).
This document is applicable to the research, development and test of liquid cooling system and its parts and components for electric vehicle traction battery.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given GB/T 19596 and QC/T 1206.1-2024 as well as the following apply.
3.1
liquid cooling system
system that uses coolant (such as mixed solution of ethylene glycol and water) as heat exchange medium to cool the battery
Note: It is generally composed of liquid cooling plate, liquid cooling pipeline, joint, water inlet and outlet assembly and other parts and components, as shown in Figure 1.

3.2
liquid cooling plate
component that cools or heats a battery using coolant
3.3
liquid cooling pipeline
pipeline that directs the coolant to the liquid cooling plate
3.4
jointer
component connecting the liquid cooling plate and the liquid cooling pipeline or between the liquid cooling pipelines
3.5
flow resistance
flow resistance of the coolant flowing through the liquid cooling system
4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 Appearance
The appearance of each part and component of the liquid cooling system shall be clean and undamaged, and the marks shall be clear.
4.1.2 Dimension and mass
The dimension and mass of each part and component of the liquid cooling system shall meet the requirements of technical drawings.
4.2 Flow resistance
After the flow resistance test is carried out according to 5.4, the flow resistance of the liquid cooling system shall meet the technical requirements specified by the manufacturer.
4.3 Safety performance
4.3.1 Airtightness
After the airtightness test is carried out according to 5.5, at least one of the following requirements shall be met:
a) wet test: there shall be no visible bubbles;
b) dry test: the leakage amount shall not be greater than 2.5mL/min;
c) helium test: the leakage rate shall not be greater than 2×10-6Pa•m3/s.
4.3.2 Flame retardance
After the flame retardance test is carried out according to 5.6, the horizontal combustion level of non-metallic parts of the liquid cooling system shall meet the requirements of Level HB specified in GB/T 2408-2021.
4.4 Technical requirements
4.4.1 Pressure resistance
After the pressure resistance test is carried out according to 5.7, the liquid cooling system shall have no leakage, and the deformation amount shall not exceed 10% of the original dimension in the deformation direction.
4.4.2 Vibration
After the vibration test is carried out according to 5.8, the liquid cooling system shall meet the requirements of 4.3.1.
4.4.3 Welding strength
After the welding strength test is carried out according to 5.9, there shall be no damage or crack at the welded area of the jointer.
4.4.4 Burst pressure
During the burst pressure test according to 5.10, the liquid cooling plate and liquid cooling pipeline shall be free from damage or looseness.
4.4.5 High and low temperature cycle
After the high and low temperature cycle test is carried out according to 5.11, the liquid cooling system shall meet the requirements of 4.3.1.
4.4.6 Internal corrosion
After the internal corrosion test is carried out according to 5.12, the liquid cooling system shall meet the requirements of 4.3.1.
4.4.7 Pressure alternating
After the pressure alternating test is carried out according to 5.13, the liquid cooling system shall meet the requirements of 4.3.1.

4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 Appearance
