1 Scope
This standard specifies technical requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, quality certificate, storage, packaging and transportation for couplers and coupler yokes for railway rolling stock.
This standard is applicable to couplers and coupler yokes for newly-developed railway rolling stocks (for passenger and freight).
This standard is not applicable to tight lock couplers for passenger vehicles.
