Electronic gas/air ratio adjustment devices for household gas appliances
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definitions and abbreviations, construction and materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, installation and operating instructions, packaging, transportation and storage of electronic gas/air ratio adjustment devices for household gas appliances.
This standard is applicable to the electronic gas/air ratio adjustment devices for household gas appliances with maximum working pressure below 10 kPa, nominal diameter not more than DN 50, used for urban gas appliances specified in GB/T 13611 and closed-loop control, which can be tested separately or as components of gas appliances (or burners).

3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB 14536.1 (including Annex H.2), GB 14536.6 and the following apply.
3.1 Terms and definitions
3.1.1
electronic gas/air ratio adjustment devices
closed-loop modulating system consisting of the electronic control module, actuating elements for the gas flow and the air flow as a minimum, and allocated feedback signal(s) (see Figure 1)
3.1.2
electronic control module
electronic main control module incorporating all inputs and outputs for the controlling elements
3.1.3
defined state
state with one of the following characteristics:
a) the system passively assumes a state in which the signal available at the output terminals ensures a safe situation under all circumstances
b) the system actively executes a protective action causing it to shut down followed by a restart or a lock out
c) the system remains in operation, continuing to satisfy all safety-related functional requirements
3.1.4
fault reaction time
time between the occurrence of a fault and the reaching of a defined state
3.1.5
safety shut-down
de-energization of the main gas flow means as the result of the action of a limiter, a safety cut-out or the detection of an internal fault of the system
3.1.6
lock-out
process in which the system goes into one of the conditions described in 3.1.7 or 3.1.8
3.1.7
non-volatile lock-out
safety shut-down condition of the system, such that a restart can be accomplished only by a manual reset of the system and by no other means
