1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions and general requirements of speed limitation system for motor vehicles, as well as requirements and test methods for vehicles with maximum speed limitation system and adjustable speed limitation system.
It is applicable to:
——Maximum speed limitation device and adjustable speed limitation device.
——Classes M and N vehicles equipped with maximum speed limitation device or adjustable speed limitation device.

system for limiting the vehicle speed realized by controlling the energy supply of the vehicle power unit and the management of the vehicle or engine (or motor), including maximum speed limitation system and adjustable speed limitation system

system for ensuring that the vehicle speed does not exceed the set speed through the maximum speed limitation device or the maximum speed limitation function

adjustable speed limitation system
system for ensuring that the vehicle speed does not exceed an adjustable limit speed set by the driver through adjustable speed limitation device or adjustable speed limitation function

4 General requirements
4.1 Speed limitation system
Where the vehicle is running normally, the necessary components of the speed limitation system shall function normally. The speed limitation system shall meet the requirements of this standard.
4.2 Requirements for maximum speed limitation device and adjustable speed limitation device
4.2.1 Environmental load
It shall meet the requirements for environmental load in GB/T 28046.1.
4.2.2 Electrical load
It shall meet the requirements for electrical load in GB/T 28046.2.
4.2.3 Mechanical load
It shall meet the requirements for mechanical load in GB/T 28046.3.
4.2.4 Climatic load
It shall meet the requirements for climatic load in GB/T 28046.4.
4.2.5 Chemical load
It shall meet the requirements for chemical load in GB/T 28046.5.
4.2.6 Electrical transient conduction
The test shall be carried out according to severity level IV in GB/T 21437.2-2008, and its functional state shall meet the requirements of Class A.
4.2.7 Electromagnetic radiation
It shall operate well in normal electromagnetic environment of the vehicle and meet the requirements of GB/T 17619.
4.3 Safety and durability
4.3.1 Safety
The failure of the speed limitation system does not affect the driver's control of the engine through the accelerator pedal.
4.3.2 Durability
4.3.2.1 The maximum speed limitation device simulates its movement on the vehicle to carry out durability test on the bench. Control system is provided by the manufacturer to keep the speed limitation device subjected to durability test according to the durability test cycle shown in Figure 1.
