1 Scope
This standard specifies terms and definitions, classification and model, performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, etc. of fire pump, including motorless fire pump and fire pump set.
This standard is applicable to fire pumps with clean water, foam extinguishing agent or foam solution as main fire extinguishing agent.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following terms and definitions apply.

fire pump
special pump, installed on fire truck, fixed fire extinguishing system or other fire fighting devices, for delivering such liquid extinguishing agents as water or foam solution
3.2
motorless fire pump
fire pump without power source, which transmits the energy to liquid via impeller rotation
3.3
vehicle fire pump
motorless fire pump installed on fire truck chassis
3.4
marine fire pump
motorless fire pump installed on ship, offshore work platform and in other on-water working environments
3.5
engineering-oriented fire pump
fire pump used in hydrant system, water-spraying fire extinguishing system, foam extinguishing system and other engineering sites
3.6
other fire pump
fire pump other than vehicle fire pump, marine fire pump, portable fire pump set and engineering-oriented fire pump
3.7
normal pressure fire pump
