This standard specifies the technical requirements and inspection rules as well as the requirements for marking, packing, transportation and storage of the passenger lifts and freight lifts.
This standard is applicable to such electrically-driven traction type passenger lifts and freight lifts with rated speed no larger than 6.0m/s as well as those electrically-driven positive type passenger lifts and freight lifts with rated speed no larger than 0.63m/s. And the electrically-driven traction type passenger lifts and freight lifts with rated speed greater than 6.0m/s may refer to this standard, and the inapplicable part shall be determined by the manufacturer and the user through negotiation.
This standard is not applicable to the hydraulic lifts, dumbwaiter lifts and home lifts.
