1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and code, order information, dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and packaging, marking and quality certification of seamless stainless steel tubes for boilers and heat exchangers.
It is applicable to seamless stainless steel tubes for boilers and heat exchangers (hereinafter referred to as "steel tubes").

4 Classification and code
4.1 Steel tubes are classified into two categories according to product manufacturing methods. The categories and corresponding codes are as follows:
a) Hot-rolled (extruded) steel tubes W-H;
b) Cold drawn (rolled) steel tubes W-C.
4.2 The following codes are applicable to this document:
D Nominal outside diameter (mm);
S Nominal wall thickness (mm);
Smin Minimum wall thickness (mm);
Sc Average wall thickness (the average of the maximum and minimum wall thicknesses calculated as per the minimum wall thickness and its permissible deviation, mm).
