Introduction
GB/T 20564 aims to standardize the designations and classification, ordering content, size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of continuously cold rolled high strength steel sheet and strip for automobile.
GB/T 20564 comprises of four parts:
——Part 1: Bake hardening steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled bake hardening high strength steel sheet and strip for automobile with thickness of 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing outer plates, inner plates and some structural parts of automobiles.
——Part 2: Dual phase steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled dual phase high strength steel sheet and strip with thickness of 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing automobile outer plates, inner plates and some structural parts of automobiles.
——Part 3: High strength interstitial free steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength interstitial free steel sheet and strip with thickness of 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing outer plates, inner plates and some structural parts of automobiles.
——Part 4: High strength low alloy steel.
The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength low alloy steel sheet and strip with thickness of no less than 3.00 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles.
——Part 5: Isotropic steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength isotropic steel sheet and strip with thickness not more than 2.5 mm, which are mainly used to make outer coverings of automobiles.
——Part 6: Transformation induced plasticity steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength transformation induced plasticity steel sheet and strip with thickness of 0.50 mm to 2.5 mm, which are mainly used to make structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles.
——Part 7: Martensitic steels. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength martensitic steel sheet and strip with thickness of 0.50 mm to 2.1 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts, reinforcements and anti-collision parts of automobiles
——Part 8: Complex phase steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength complex phase steel plates and strips with thickness of 0.60 mm to 2.50 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts, reinforcements and some inner and outer plates of automobiles.
——Part 9: Quenching and partitioning steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength quenching and partitioning steel plates and strips with thickness of 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles.
——Part 10: Twinning induced plasticity steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength twinning induced plasticity steel plates and strips with thickness of 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing complexly shaped structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles.
——Part 11: Carbon manganese steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength carbon manganese steel plates and strips with thickness of 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts of automobiles.
——Part 12: Dual phase steel with high formability The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength dual phase high formability steel with plates and strips with thickness of 0.50 mm to 3.00 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing complexly shaped structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles.
——Part 13: Medium manganese steel The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength medium manganese steel plates and strips with thickness of 1.0 mm to 2.5 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles.
——Part 14: Low density steel. The purpose is to determine the technical requirements of continuously cold rolled high strength low density steel plates and strips with thickness of 0.6 mm to 3.0 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles.

This document specifies the designation, classification, ordering contents, size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of continuously cold rolled high strength medium manganese steel plates and strips for automobiles.
This document is applicable to continuously cold rolled high strength medium manganese steel plates and strips with thickness of 0.50 mm to 2.5 mm, which are mainly used for manufacturing structural parts and reinforcements of automobiles (hereinafter referred to as "steel plates and strips").

steel with manganese content of 3% to 10%,formed into multiphase structure containing metastable austenite via reverse transformation of austenite, and with its strength and plasticity improved by transformation induced plasticity or twinning induced plasticity, and with its strength-plastic product generally not less than 30GPa%
