This Part specifies potentiometric titration method or visual titration method for determination of manganese content.
This Part is applicable to determination of manganese, with mass fraction (m/m) of 2%~25%, in alloyed steels.
It also applies interference determination "results" of vanadium and cerium. If the content of cerium in the sample is less than 0.01% or that of vanadium is less than 0.005%, interference determination may be negligible. If the content of cerium in the sample is larger than 0.01% or that of vanadium is larger than 0.005%, theoretical value correction may be carried out.
