This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 2072-2007 Nickel and nickel alloy strips. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 2072-2007:
——the grades and technical requirements of nickel foils are added (see Clauses 3 and 4);
——the specification range is modified: the thickness is changed from "0.05~1.2" to "0.01~5.00", and the width is changed from "20~250" to "20~1,350" (see Table 1; Table 1 of Edition 2007);
——the thickness, width and their tolerances are modified: the width tolerance of products with thickness not greater than 0.3mm is changed from "(0, -0.6), (0, -1.0)" to "±0.15"; the width tolerance of products with thickness greater than 0.3mm is changed from "(0, -1.0), (0, -1.5)" to "(+1.6, 0)" (see Table 2; Table 2 of Edition 2007);
——the cupping test method is modified: the punch diameter of cupping test is changed from "10mm" to "20mm" (see 5.4.1; 4.3 of Edition 2007);
——the bending property requirements for products are added (see 4.4.2);
——the grain size requirements for products are added (see 4.5).
This standard was proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Nonferrous Metals of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 243).
The previous editions of this standard are as follows:
——GB/T 2072-1980, GB/T 2072-1993 and GB/T 2072-2007;
