3 Packing
3.1 General rules for packing
3.1.1 The packing of the product shall protect the product from looseness, deformation and damage and moisture corrosion during transportation and storage.
3.1.2 All kinds of products shall be packed according to the provisions of their corresponding product standards. If there is no clear stipulation in the corresponding standard, it may be implemented according to the provisions of this standard.
3.1.3 Products in the same packing unit shall be products of the same designation, specification and state. Under special circumstances, when products of different alloy designations, specifications and states need to be packed into the same unit, they shall be bundled and wrapped separately, and clearly marked; the heavier shall not be put on the lighter, the bigger shall not be put on the smaller and the longer shall not be put on the shorter, so as to ensure that the products are not confused and damaged.
3.1.4 The weight and dimension of product in each unit shall comply with the provisions of the relevant carrier.
3.1.5 When being packed in boxes, the products shall be tightly wrapped with moisture-proof and rust inhibiting materials (such as plastic film, volatile rust preventive paper or composite materials). When necessary, there shall be desiccant.
3.1.6 When being packed in boxes or splints, the products in the same layer shall not overlap. The box or splint shall be fastened with steel strip or polyester strapping.
3.1.7 When products are packed by strapping with various materials, they shall be strapped firmly.
3.1.8 When the customer has special packing requirements, the packing method may be determined by both parties through consultation and indicated in the contract.
3.2 Packing methods
The following packing methods may be selected for wrought heavy non-ferrous metal products: in/by boxes, barrels, bags, splints, brackets, pellets, winding, strapping, etc.
3.3 Packing containers
3.3.1 The packing containers (including boxes, barrels, bags, splints, brackets, pellets, etc., the same below) shall have sufficient strength to prevent the products from being damaged due to the damage of the containers.
3.3.2 The packing containers may be made of wood, metal or other materials.
3.3.3 The packing containers shall be standardized, flat, clean, dry and free of foreign objects.
3.3.4 The dimension of a packing container shall meet the requirements of the product dimension, and ensure that the product will not move or be folded in the container. When container transportation is adopted, the dimension matching shall be considered.
3.3.5 The spacing between the reinforcing ribs of the long packing container shall meet both the robustness requirements of the packing container and the operation requirements of cranes and forklifts.
3.3.6 When making wooden packing containers, the nails shall be arranged in double rows of parallel cross, the nail caps shall be nailed firmly, the nail tips shall be turned upside down, and there shall be no nail joint defects such as exposed nail tips, false nails and bent nails.
3.4 Packing materials
3.4.1 The moisture content of wood for inner packing shall be no more than 15%.
3.4.2 The steel strips shall meet the requirements of GB/T 25820.
3.4.3 The rust inhibiting materials (such as volatile rust preventive paper, rust inhibitor or composite rust inhibiting materials, etc.) shall meet the requirements of GB/T 14188.
3.4.4 Mineral desiccant shall meet the requirements of BB/T 0049.
3.4.5 The ordinary plastic films and their products shall meet the requirements of GB/T 4456.
3.4.6 The plastic film for stretch packing shall meet the requirements of GB/T 10003.
3.4.7 The heat shrinkable polyethylene film shall meet the requirements of GB/T 13519.
3.4.8 The plastic woven fabric shall meet the requirements of QB/T 3808.
3.4.9 The neutral wrapping paper shall meet the requirements of QB/T 1313.
3.4.10 The corrugated fiberboard shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6544.
3.4.11 The polyester strapping shall meet the requirements of GB/T 22344.
3.4.12 Other packing materials shall meet the requirements of corresponding technical standards.
3.5 Packing of plates/sheets
