GB/T 2652-2008 Tensile test methods on weld and deposited metal
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test procedures and size of test specimen for tensile test on weld and deposited metal.
This standard is applicable to the tensile test on metallic fusion weld and deposited metal.
2 Normative references
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated references, subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) to, or revisions, of any of these publications do not apply. However, parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below. For any undated references, the latest edition of the document referred to applies.
GB/T 228-2002 Metallic materials - Tensile testing at ambient temperature (eqv ISO 6892:1998)
3 Principle
The tensile test shall be conducted in accordance with GB/T 228.
Unless otherwise specified, tests shall be carried out at ambient temperature of 23 ± 15°C.
4 Symbols and abbreviated terms
The symbols and abbreviated terms used in tensile test are specified in GB/T 228.
5 Preparation of the test specimens
5.1 Position of sampling
The specimen shall be taken longitudinally from the weld and deposited metal of the test specimen. After machining, the parallel length of the test specimen shall consist only of weld metal (see Figures 1 and 2).
