1 Scope
This part of GB/T 3246 specifies test solution, specimen preparation, etching, anodizing membrane preparation, structure inspection, determination of grain size and test report for microstructure inspection of aluminum and aluminum alloy ingot casting (or ingot blank), wrought aluminum and aluminum alloys plate, strip, foil, tube, bar, profile, line and forging (hereafter referred to as processed products).
This part is applicable to microstructure inspection of aluminum and aluminum alloy ingot casting (or ingot blank) and processed products.
2 Test Solution
2.1 Nitric acid solution (1+4).
2.2 Perchloric acid ethanol solution (1+9).
2.3 Nitric acid solution (1+2.5)~nitric acid solution (1+1).
2.4 No.1 Etchant: hydrofluoric acid solution (1+200).
2.5 No.2 Etchant: hydrofluoric acid solution (1+1).
2.6 No.3 Etchant: phosphoric acid solution (1+9).
2.7 No.4 Etchant: sulfuric acid solution (1+9) ~sulfuric acid solution (2+8).
2.8 No.5 Etchant: nitric acid solution (1+3).
2.9 No. 6 Etchant: uniform mixture of 2:3:5:190 hydrofluoric acid (ρ 1.15 g/mL): hydrochloric acid (ρ 1.19 g/mL): nitric acid (ρ 1.40 g/mL): water.
2.10 No. 7 Etchant: uniform mixture of 2:1:1:76 hydrofluoric acid (ρ 1.15 g/mL): hydrochloric acid (ρ 1.19 g/mL): nitric acid (ρ 1.40 g/mL): water.
2.11 No.8 Etchant: uniform mixture of 2:3:5:250 hydrofluoric acid (ρ 1.15 g/mL): hydrochloric acid (ρ 1.19 g/mL): nitric acid (ρ 1.40 g/mL): water.
2.12 Nitric acid solution (1+19) ~nitric acid solution (1+3).
2.13 Sulfuric acid - phosphoric acid solution: uniform mixture of 38:43:19 sulfuric acid (ρ 1.84 g/mL): phosphoric acid (ρ 1.70 g/mL): water.
2.14 Fluoboric acid solution (25 g/L).
