1 Scope
This part of GB/T 34015 specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, operation requirements, temporary storage and management requirements for removing of traction battery used in electric vehicle.
This part is applicable to the removing of lithium ion traction battery pack and Ni-MH traction battery pack during recycling, and also serves as a reference for the removing of other types of traction battery packs.
This part is not applicable to the removing of traction battery or lead-acid battery in vehicle after-sales maintenance.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 19596, GB/T 26989-2011 and the following apply.

4 Overall requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The removing operation instructions and emergency plan for safety and environmental protection accidents shall be prepared according to the technical support and removing guidance documents provided by the whole vehicle enterprise.
4.1.2 The integrity of the traction battery and reusable vehicle parts and components shall be ensured, and the mechanical or automatic removing method may be adopted.
4.1.3 End-of-life vehicle dismantling enterprises that remove traction batteries shall be provided with the qualifications, facilities and equipment, professional and technical personnel and special places that meet the requirements for dismantling electric vehicles.
4.1.4 The removing unit shall not continue dismantling the decommissioned traction batteries removed, and shall hand them over to the recycling enterprise of traction batteries in new energy vehicles conforming to the provisions of the State in accordance with the specified procedures within the prescribed time limit.
4.1.5 The decommissioned traction batteries shall be registered for information traceability as required.
4.2 Site requirements
4.2.1 The removing and storage site shall be rain-proof and ventilated, and be provided with hardened and leak-proof ground, good lighting and complete fire safety facilities, and the safe distance shall comply with relevant national management regulations.
4.2.2 Wastewater collection facilities or treatment facilities shall be set at the main outlet of the removing and storage sites generating production waste water.
4.2.3 The operation area shall be isolated separately, the ground shall be insulated, and high-voltage warning signs and area isolation signs shall be set.
4.3 Equipment and facilities requirements
4.3.1 Pumping system and special collection containers for traction battery coolant and fuel oil shall be provided.
4.3.2 Supporting removing tools, such as hoisting equipment, pneumatic tools, lifting tools, load-bearing equipment and carrying devices with insulation, strength and structure functions meeting the requirements, shall be provided.
4.3.3 Insulating protective equipment such as high-voltage insulating gloves and insulating boots, as well as safety protective equipment such as protective masks, gloves against mechanical injury and insulating rescue hooks against electric shock, and emergency rescue equipment shall be provided.
4.3.4 Insulation testing equipment, such as insulation resistance tester, shall be provided.
4.3.5 Traction battery safety evaluation equipment, such as electric leakage diagnosis and detection equipment, non-contact remote infrared temperature detector, electroscope, discharging rod, special label and mark, shall be provided.
4.3.6 Fire fighting facilities as stipulated by relevant national regulations, such as fire hydrants, sandboxes and fire extinguishers shall be provided.
4.3.7 Tools and equipment such as weighing device, manipulator, telescopic clamping arm, storage and packaging container should be provided.
4.4 Personnel requirements
4.4.1 At least two persons shall be engaged in removing operation, and the operators shall have electrician certificates.
4.4.2 The removing operators shall receive professional training from the removing unit, including but not limited to training for electric shock prevention, on-site first aid and safety and environmental protection emergency plan.
4.4.3 The operators can only take up their posts after passing the examination with their professional skills meeting the corresponding requirements of standardized removing, environmental protection operation and safe operation.
