1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of costumes.
It is applicable to the costumes (including garments and accessories) produced with woven fabric as major raw materials.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 15557 as well as the following ones apply.
3.1
costumes
certain clothing wearing to play certain characters in animations, games and films, or to create self-originating styling rather than everyday dressing (including festive party costumes, role-playing costumes, stage performance costumes, etc.)
3.2
costumes with electrical function(s)
costumes of which at least one function requires electricity
3.3
printed foil
the aluminum layer in the anodized aluminum is transferred to the surface of the printed material based on the principle of hot press transfer to form a special pattern with metal effect
3.4
printed glitter
uniformly glue the coloured or transparent plastic powder to the adhesive material to form a pattern with glittering effect
3.5
accessories
accessories made of various materials to match with the garment; which may match with costumes or be used as a stand-alone product
4 Requirements
4.1 Instructions for use
The instructions for use of finished products shall be in accordance with GB/T 5296.4 and GB 31701. Infants and children garment products shall be accompanied by a warning sign (Example 1). Costumes with electrical function(s) and their accessories shall also comply with the provisions as specified in GB 19865-2005, Clause 7. Costumes and their accessories that may cause hazard to infants and children aged 36 months or below shall be accompanied by a warning sign (Example 2).
Example 1: "Warning: This product is not an everyday dressing and shall be attended by an adult when worn at a specific time and occasion."
Example 2: "Warning: This product contains small components and is not suitable for infants and children aged 36 months or below."
4.2 Size specification
4.2.1 The size setting shall be selected in accordance with GB/T 1335.
4.2.2 The specification for the primary parts of finished products shall be designed independently in accordance with the relevant requirements of GB/T 1335.
4.3 Raw materials
4.3.1 Shell fabric
The shell fabric complying with the quality requirements of this standard shall be adopted.
4.3.2 Lining
Lining suitable for the applied shell fabric and complying with the relevant quality requirements of this standard shall be adopted.
4.3.3 Filler
The filler complying with the quality requirements of relevant standards shall be selected according to the national standards relating to filler.
4.3.4 Accessory materials
4.3.4.1 Lining cloth
The lining cloth suitable to the property of the used shell fabric shall be adopted and its quality shall comply with the requirements of this standard.
4.3.4.2 Lace
The lace suitable to the used shell fabric shall be adopted and its quality shall comply with the requirements of this standard.
4.3.4.3 Stitch thread, rope belt and elastic ribbon
The stitch thread, rope belt and elastic ribbon (except for ornamental thread and belt) suitable to the performance of the used shell fabric, lining and accessory materials shall be adopted.
4.3.4.4 Button, zipper and other accessories
The buttons (except ornamental button), zipper and other accessories suitable for the used shell fabric shall be adopted. The surface of button, ornamental button, zipper and other accessories shall be smooth and free of burr, damage, defect and accessible sharp tip or edge. Zippers shall mesh well and run smoothly.
Note: Accessible sharp tips and edges are those on finished product that are possible to cause harm to human skin under normal wearing.
4.4 Warp and weft yarns
The front bottom hem is free from any upwarp. The yarn skewness of the back and sleeve shall not be greater than 3% and that of the trousers shall not be greater than 3% as well (except for special design).
