3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this standard, the terms and definitions specified in GB/T 24548 as well as the following apply.
3.1
pressure-temperature method
method of calculating hydrogen consumption by measuring the pressure and temperature of gas in high-pressure hydrogen tank before and after test. The hydrogen tank with known internal volume which is able to test temperature and pressure shall be used
3.2
weight analysis method
method of calculating hydrogen consumption by measuring the weight of high-pressure hydrogen tank before and after test. The hydrogen tank used in test shall be applied for weight measurement
3.3
hydrogen flow method
method of measuring the volume or weight of hydrogen consumed by a vehicle through the flowmeter installed on the hydrogen supply pipeline from fuel supply resource outside the vehicle to the vehicle
3.4
hydrogen tank used in test
hydrogen tank installed outside the vehicle, which is connected with fuel cell through bypass pipeline during test of hydrogen consumption
4 Test Equipment and Instruments
Main test equipment include chassis dynamometer, tire pressure gauge; pressure meter and thermometer for pressure-temperature method; hydrogen tank used in test and weighing device for weight analysis method as well as flowmeter for hydrogen flow method.
The setting of chassis dynamometer shall comply with the relevant requirements of GB 18352.5-2013.
Test equipment and instruments shall be tested, maintained and calibrated in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements. The unit and accuracy of relevant test parameters shall comply with the requirements of Table 1.
Table 1 Unit and Accuracy of Relevant Test Parameters
Parameter Unit Accuracy
Temperature K ±1
Gas pressure MPa ±1%
Weight g ±0.5
Volume flow L/s ±1%
Weight flow g/s ±1%
5 Test Methods
5.1 Vehicle state requirements
The test vehicle shall be subject to running-in according to the manufacturer's specifications, and the running-in mileage shall not be less than 1000km, and it is recommended to drive for at least 300km within 7d before the test.
The external hydrogen supply is adopted during the test to cut off the on-board fuel supply pipeline.
5.2 Test method and procedures
The test load of light vehicle shall be applied in accordance with the relevant requirements of GB 18352.5-2013. Start the vehicle according to the procedures specified by the manufacturer, carry out test according to the drive cycle (including urban and suburban operating cycles) specified in Annex CA, GB 18352.5-2013, and the vehicle speed deviation during test shall comply with those specified in GB 18352.5-2013. During the test, one of the three hydrogen test methods provided in Annexes A, B and C may be selected for hydrogen consumption test.
The test load of heavy vehicle shall be applied in accordance with the relevant requirements of GB/T 19754-2015. Start the vehicle according to the procedures specified by the manufacturer, carry out test according to the typical urban bus drive cycle in China as specified in Annex B, GB/T 19754-2015, and the vehicle speed deviation during test shall comply with those specified in GB/T 19754-2015. During the test, one of the three hydrogen test methods provided in Annexes A, B and C may be selected for hydrogen consumption test.
