In this case, it is appropriate to make judgment according to the judgment characteristics of children's jewellery. The following characteristics are helpful to distinguish whether a product is children's jewellery. The judgment characteristics can be used individually or in combination. All the following characteristics are applicable to the judgment of children's imitation jewellery, and some are applicable to the judgment of children's gems and precious metal jewellery. 4.2 Judgment characteristics 4.2.1 Sales outlet Children's imitation jewellery and other children's products are usually sold at the same sales outlet, such as toy shops or counters/special areas for children's products. Children's gems and precious metal jewellery are usually arranged in adult's jewellery sales outlets, where there is usually a special area for children’s products. 4.2.2 Size and shape The size and shape of some children's jewellery are different from those of adult's jewellery. The size of children’s jewellry is related to the age of the target children. The older they are, the larger the size of the jewellry. For the children who do not have sufficient skills in muscle fine movements, such as young children, they shall be encouraged to use large and round jewellery. For children's jewellery, neck adornment, hand adornment and crural adornment have obvious size characteristics. 4.2.3 Package and advertisement The target group on product package and advertisement indicates the intended users, such as whether there are pictures of adults or children using the product on the package. Where there are patterns attracting children on the package and advertisement, it implies that these products are children's jewellery. 4.2.4 Mark description The product mark description can indicate the intended use and intended users of a product. Products with characters or patterns related to children in the product mark description can be considered as children's jewellery. 4.2.5 Licensing Well-known licensed images are used on many children's jewellery. The characters on movies, TVs, cartoons and books are the main sources of licensed jewellery images, which connect the related emotions in the media with jewellery products. The product design with children's favorite licensed image is expected for children, and the attraction of these products with licensed images to children depends on the age of children and the familiarity of children with licensed images. 4.2.6 Material Children's imitation jewellery and their components are generally made of low-value materials such as glass, plastic, base metal, leather and cloth. Children's gems and precious metal jewellery are made of gems, precious metal and the like, same as those of adults. 4.2.7 Color and contrast The color or contrast of children's jewellery reflects children's preferences. Compared with children's jewellery of single color, jewellery with patterns, rich and bright colors and obvious contrast is more popular with children and more conducive to attracting children. Culture and gender will also affect children's preference for color. Children's gems and precious metal jewellery can use colored gold, colored glaze and colorful jewellery gems to be more attractive to children. 4.2.8 Fidelity and detail The factors of fidelity will affect the attraction and applicability of children's imitation jewellery. Children's imitation jewellery is generally not as lifelike as adult’s imitation jewellery. Compared with children's imitation jewellery, adult’s imitation jewellery is more lifelike and has more details. 4.2.9 Required muscle movement skills The muscle movement skills required for wearing jewellery are related to the using objects. Children's muscle fine movements skills are not as good as those of adults, and jewellery that requires complicated wearing behaviors and using skills is more likely to be adult’s products. Children's jewellery is generally common, simple and fast wearing products. Note: Muscle fine movement skill refers to the ability to control hands and fingers, including hand/eye coordination.
