Table 1 Technical index of liquid hydrogen Item Index Hydrogen purity (mole fraction) ≥ 99.97% Parahydrogen content (volume fraction) ≥ 95% Total content of non-hydrogen gas ≤ 300μmol/mol Water (H2O) content ≤ 5μmol/mol Total hydrocarbon content (calculated by CH4) a ≤ 2μmol/mol Oxygen (O2) content ≤ 5μmol/mol Helium (He) content ≤ 300μmol/mol Total nitrogen (N2) and argon (Ar) content ≤ 100μmol/mol Carbon dioxide (CO2) content ≤ 2μmol/mol Carbon monoxide (CO) content ≤ 0.2μmol/mol Total sulfur content (calculated by H2S) ≤ 0.004μmol/mol Formaldehyde (HCHO) content ≤ 0.01μmol/mol Formic acid (HCOOH) content ≤ 0.2μmol/mol Ammonia (NH3) content ≤ 0.1μmol/mol Total halide content (calculated by halide ion) ≤ 0.05μmol/mol Particulate matter concentration ≤ 1mg/kg a If the liquid hydrogen contains methane and the total hydrocarbon content is greater than 2μmol/mol, the total content of methane, nitrogen and argon shall not exceed 100μmol/mol. 5 Test methods 5.1 Sampling and judgment 5.1.1 Liquid hydrogen is sampled in the liquid phase, and after being completely vaporized by the sampling tube, it is sampled by the sampling cylinder or directly sent to the measuring instrument through the sampling tube. The sampling shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6681. 5.1.2 For pipeline transported liquid hydrogen with stable production, the sampling frequency shall be determined by the supplier and the purchaser. The pipeline transported liquid hydrogen products shall meet the technical requirements of this standard. 5.1.3 The liquid hydrogen filled in tank cars or storage tanks shall be inspected by tank upon completion of filling. If any index among the test results fails to meet the technical requirements in Table 1, this batch of products will be judged as rejected. 5.1.4 The sampling safety shall meet the relevant requirements of GB/T 3723.
