1 Scope
This part specifies the procedures and conditions to be followed for the validation by analysis and testing of:
——the safety functions provided, and
——the category achieved
of the safety-related parts of the control system in compliance with GB/T 16855.1, using the design rationale provided by the designer.
This part does not give complete validation requirements for programmable electronic systems and therefore can require the use of other standards.
Note: IEC 62061 proposes to deal in more detail with the validation of programmable electronic systems.
2 Normative References
The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this part of GB/T 16855, constitute provisions of this part. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, the parties to agreements based on this part are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the documents. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.
