GB/T 9160 consists of two parts, under the general title: Rolling bearings—Accessories:

This is Part 1 of GB/T 9160.
This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 9160.1-2006 Rolling bearings—Accessories—Part 1: Tapered sleeves. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 9160.1-2006:
——Standard name is modified (see cover and front page; cover and front page of the 2006 edition);
——Some terms and definitions are added (see 3.2 and 3.3);
——Expression of identification code is changed; type codes of adapter assemblies with a taper of 1:30 and adapter sleeve with a taper of 1:30 as well as structure code with hydraulic oils hole are added (see Chapter 5; Chapter 5 of the 2006 edition);

5.1 General
The code of the adapter assemblies, adapter sleeve and withdrawal sleeves consist of type code, dimension series code, suitable bearing bore diameter code and structure code, which are arranged as follows:
5.2 Type code
Type codes are denoted by letters, as specified in Table 1.

5.3 Dimension series code
The dimension series code is based on the bearing dimension series code as specified in GB/T 272. The dimension series of adapter assemblies, adapter sleeve and withdrawal sleeves are divided into dimension series 30, 31, (0)2, 22, 32, (0)3, 23, 39 (taper 1:12) and dimension series 40, 41 (taper 1:30).
5.4 Suitable bearing bore diameter code
Suitable bearing bore diameter code complies with the bore diameter code of bearing as specified in GB/T 272.
5.5 Structure code
5.5.1 For narrow-slot adapter sleeve suitable for bearing bore diameter code of 44 or less (i.e. bearing bore diameter d<220 mm), the structure code "X" shall be added after the bore diameter code when using a straight inner tab lockwasher.
5.5.2 For adapter assemblies, adapter sleeve and withdrawal sleeves with hydraulic oil holes, the structure code shall be added after the bore diameter code. The structure code and its meaning are shown in Table 2.
