GB/T 9160 consists of two parts, under the general title: Rolling bearings—Accessories: —— Part 1: Adapter sleeve assemblies and withdrawal sleeves; —— Part 2: Locknuts and locking devices This is Part 2 of GB/T 9160. This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009. This part replaces GB/T 9160.2-2006 Rolling bearings—Accessories—Part 2: Locknuts and locking devices. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 9160.2-2006: —— The expression of identification code is modified (see Chapter 5 of this edition and Chapter 5 of 2006 edition); ——The models of lockwashers applicable to locknuts KM42~KM56 are deleted (see Table 1 of 2006 edition); ——Some reference dimensions for HM and HML series locknuts are added (see Tables 4 and 5); —— Requirements for material of lockwasher and locking clip are modified (see 8.1 of this edition and 8.1 of 2006 edition); —— Requirements for surface roughness of lockwasher and locking clip are modified (see Table 13 of this edition and Table 13 of 2006 edition); —— Structural diagram and boundary dimension table of lockwasher with bent inner tab are moved to the annex (see annex A of this edition, and Figure 3 and Table 5 of 2006 edition). This part is redrafted by reference to and not equivalent to ISO 2982-1:2013 Rolling bearings—Accessories—Part 2: Dimensions for locknuts and locking devices. This part was proposed by the China Machinery Industry Federation. This part is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee on Rolling Bearing of Standardization Administration of China (SAT/TC 98). Rolling bearings—Accessories—Part 2: Locknuts and locking devices 1 Scope This part of GB/T 9160 specifies identification code, boundary dimension, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking and rust-proof packaging of locknuts and locking devices mainly used for adapter sleeves and withdrawal sleeves and threaded shafts produced according to the requirements of GB/T 9160.1. Figure 4 Locking clip assembly 5 Identification code 5.1 General Code of locknut, lockwasher and locking clip assembly all consist of type code, dimension series code and diameter code indicating the nominal diameter of the nut, which are arranged as follows: 5.2 Type code Type codes are denoted by letters, as specified in Table 1. Other series codes are omitted. 5.4 Diameter code The diameter code indicating the nominal diameter of the locknut thread is in accordance with the bearing inner diameter code specified in GB/T 272.
