Direct visual examination does not rely on aids (except illumination source and magnifier) to directly observe with bare eyes; remote visual examination can be done with retro-reflector, telescope, endoscope, optical fiber, camera, video system, automatic system, robot and other suitable visual aid for testing; translucent visual examination can be used to detect the interior of transparent and translucent materials. 5 Safety Requirements The safety requirements during testing shall include at least: a) Testing personnel shall observe the safety requirements of the test site, wear protective clothing and relevant protective equipments as required on the test site; b) Care shall be taken to avoid various safety hazards such as bump, electric shock, fall, crushing, shearing, tangling, slip, drowning, and burn, etc. This chapter does not exhaustively list the safety requirements for testing. The user of this part shall establish safety guidelines prior to testing. 6 Testing Personnel Personnel engaged in visual examination of amusement facilities shall, in addition to comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 34370.1, shall have an uncorrected or corrected visual acuity of not less than 5.0 (or 1.0 if expressed in decimal), and the test method shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 11533. The testing personnel shall have an eye examination every 12 months. If the test renders special requirement for color discrimination, the testing personnel shall additionally have color test to ensure the necessary capability of color discrimination.
