1 General Provisions
1.0.1 This Code is formulated with view to make the engineering design of oxygen station technology-advanced, economical & reasonable, comprehensively used, energy-saving and environmental friendly to ensure safety in production.
1.0.2 This Code is applicable to the following constructed, renovated and extended oxygen stations and their pipeline engineering design:
1 The design of oxygen station producing gaseous and liquid products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon by cryogenic air separation method;
2 The design of oxygen station producing gaseous products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon by normal temperature air separation method;
3 The design of gasification station of air separation liquid products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon;
4 The design of manifold room of air separation gaseous products like oxygen, nitrogen and argon;
1.0.3 The type of fire risk and minimum fire resistance rating of each room in oxygen station shall comply with the requirements of Appendix A of this Code.
1.0.4 The design of oxygen station shall not only comply with this Code, but also the relevant current national standards.
2 Terms
2.0.1 Oxygen station
The general terms of oxygen produce station, oxygen pouring station or oxygen compression station, outdoor process equipment and other relevant buildings and structures set according to the process requirements and used to prepare and supply such air separation products as oxygen, nitrogen and argon by cryogenic method or normal temperature method.
2.0.2 Oxygen produce station
The building of main and auxiliary production shops used to place the process equipment for preparing oxygen and other air separation products.
2.0.3 Oxygen pouring station
The building of main and auxiliary production shops used to place the process equipment for compressing, filling, storing and conveying oxygen, nitrogen, argon and other air separation products.
2.0.4 Oxygen compression station
The building of main and auxiliary production shops used to place the process equipment for compressing and conveying oxygen and other air separation products.
2.0.5 Rare gas room
The building of main and auxiliary production shops used to place the process equipment for purifying and refining rare gas.
2.0.6 Gasification station
The building mainly used to place storage tank and gasification equipment of air separation liquid products.
2.0.7 Manifold room
The building used to place manifold or bundle for conveying oxygen, nitrogen, argon, etc. to the user and capable of storing certain cylinders.
2.0.8 Full cylinder
The cylinder under certain filling pressure, generally the gas cylinder with the water volume of 40L and the working pressure of 12MPa~15MPa.
2.0.9 Empty cylinder
The gas cylinder without internal pressure or with certain residual pressure.
2.0.10 The bundle of gas cylinders
The gas cylinder group unit fixed with special frames and combining the interfaces of multiple gas cylinders in parallel by gas collecting pipe.
