This is part 2 of GB/T 20851.
This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces GB/T 20851.2-2007 Electronic toll collection - Dedicated short range communication - Part 1: Data link layer. In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 20851.2-2007:
——the content of “Normative references” is modified (see clause 2 of this standard; clause 2 of Edition 2007);
——the parameter definition and value are modified for the main link layer parameter Tu, and the parameter value is modified for N1 (see clause 5 of this standard; clause 5 of Edition 2007);
——the parameters T3 and N2 are deleted in main link layer (see clause 5 of Edition 2007);
——definitions and values are added for link layer main parameters T4a, T4b, Tr1, Tr2 (see clause 5);
——the value of bit 3-0 in downlink MAC control domain is modified (see 6.3.1 of this standard; 6.3.1 of Edition 2007);
——the value of bit 4-0 in uplink MAC control domain is modified (see 6.3.2 of this standard; 6.3.2 of Edition 2007);
——requirements are added for time window management in MAC sublayer (see 8.1).

1 Scope
This part of GB/T 20851 specifies the main parameters, information frames, establishment and revocation of dedicated communication links, and requirements for MAC sublayer and LLC sublayer of the data link layer of dedicated short range communication for electronic toll collection.
This part is applicable to electronic toll collection system for highways and urban roads, and may be used as a reference for automated vehicle identification, vehicle access control, etc.

6 Information frames
6.1 Information frame formats
The data link layer information shall be interacted in the form of frames which include MAC address, MAC control domain, LPDU (optional), and frame check. According to the type of LPDU, it is further divided into frames containing command LPDU (see Figure 1 for its structure) and frames containing response LPDU (see Figure 2 for its structure).
