1 Scope
This standard specifies the ordering content, code and specification representation method, dimension, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements and production, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of welded H-section steel.
This standard is applicable to the selection, manufacture and acceptance of welded H-section steel.

The order contract concluded according to this standard shall contain the following technical contents:

b) steel designation;
c) standard No.;
d) delivery length;
e) weight and quantity;
f) other special requirements proposed by the purchaser, including special specifications, special surface quality requirements, etc.
4 Code and specification representation method
4.1 Code
The code of welded H-section steel is WH, where “W” represents welded and “H” represents H-section steel.
4.2 Specification
The specification of welded H-section steel shall be expressed in the following form:
WH height (H) × breadth (B) × web plate thickness (t1) × flange plate thickness (t2).
