1.0.1 This standard is formulated with a view to unifying the conventions for building drawings, making the drawing format clear and concise, meeting the needs of information development and building construction, and facilitating international exchanges.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the following project drawings of building disciplines such as general drawing, architecture, structure, plumbing, HVAC and electricity:
1 Design drawings and as-built drawings in each stage of constructed, renovated or extended projects;
2 Measured drawing of the original building (structure) and the general plan;
3 The general design drawings and standard design drawings.
1.0.3 This standard is applicable to the drawings prepared as follows:
1 CAD drawing;
2 Manual drawing.
1.0.4 In addition to this standard, the building drawings shall also comply with those stipulated in the current relevant standards of the nation and the professional drawing requirements.

2.0.1 drawing format
format consisting of the width and length of the drawing
2.0.2 chart
a kind of geometric figure constituted with a connection between the starting point and the end point in any manner, which may be in a shape of continuous or discontinuous straight line or curved line

3 Drawing format and compiling sequence of drawings
3.1 Drawing format
3.1.1 The drawing format and frame size shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 3.1.1 and shall be in the formats specified in Figures 3.2.1-1~3.2.1-4.

3.1.2 The drawings requiring micro-replication shall be accompanied by an accurate metric scale on one side and a centering mark on all four sides. The metric scale shall be 100mm long in total, with a division of 10mm. The centering mark shall be drawn at the midpoint of each side length of the inner frame of drawing; the mark line shall be 0.35mm wide and shall be extended to the inner frame edge, with 5mm outside the frame. The line segment of the centering mark shall be taken in the range of the long side size l1 and the short side size b1 of the frame.
3.1.3 The short side size of the drawing shall not be lengthened. The long side length of the A0~A3 formats may be lengthened, but shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 3.1.3.
