This document is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of standardizing document.
This document replaces GB/T 8878-2014 Knitted cotton underwear. In addition to editorial changes the following main technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 8878-2014:
——The “Scope” has been changed (see Clause 1 hereof; Clause 1 of Edition 2014);
——The designation principle of sizing beyond the range has been added (see Clause 4 hereof; Clause 3 of Edition 2014);
——The assessment requirements for pilling have been added (see 5.2.1 hereof);

Knitted underwear
1 Scope
This document specifies the sizing, requirements, test, sampling rules, judgment rules, product instruction, packaging, transport and storage of knitted underwear.
This document is applicable to knitted underwear mainly made of knitted fabrics.
This document is not applicable to garments and adornments for infants and young children aged 36 months or below.
