4.1 Composition
The NMHC-CEMS in stationary sources is composed of nonmethane hydrocarbons monitoring unit, exhaust gas parameter monitoring unit, data acquisition and processing unit, see Figure 1. When the concentration of nonmethane hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas and the exhaust gas parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate or flow, humidity, etc.) are measured with the NMHC-CEMS, if the oxygen content is involved in the calculation of the converted concentration of the pollutants, the oxygen content shall be measured simultaneously. Meanwhile, the emission rate and emission of the pollutants in the exhaust gas shall be calculated, various parameters and charts shall be displayed and printed, and be transmitted to the management in the means of data, graphics, etc.
4.2 Construction
The NMHC-CEMS mainly consists of sample collection and transfer device, pretreatment equipment, analytical instrument, data acquisition and transmission equipment and other auxiliary equipment, etc. Depending on its different measuring methods and principles, the NMHC-CEMS may consist of all or part of the above constructions.
4.2.1 Sample collection and transfer device
The sample acquisition and transmission device mainly consists of sampling probe, sample transfer line, flow control equipment, sampling pump, etc. Generally, the system using a measurement by sampling is equipped with the sample collection and transfer device. Its specifications are given in Sub-clause 5.4.1.
4.2.2 Pretreatment equipment
The pretreatment equipment mainly consists of the sample filtration equipment, etc. Its specifications are given in Sub-clause 5.4.2.
4.2.3 Analytical instrument
The analytical instrument is used for the measurement and analysis of the collected samples of the exhaust gas emitted from the pollution sources. Its specifications are given in Sub-clause 5.4.3.
4.2.4 Data acquisition and transmission equipment
The data acquisition and transmission equipment is used for acquiring, processing and storing the monitoring data and can transmit the monitoring data and the working state information of the equipment as instructed by the central computer. Its specifications are given in Sub-clause 5.4.4.
