Design Parameter of Truck Hand Braking Device Design
This standard is applicable to design parameters of chained hand brake configured on newly-designed truck (open, covered, flat, tank and guard one) with standard gauge in railway.
1. The horizontal distance from hand braking axle center to longitudinal centerline of truck body is 490~500mm.
2. The distance between hand braking pedal to top edge of hand braking wheel is 950~1050mm.
3. The position of pull rod guide frame shall ensure that the dimension E of hand braking pull rod shall not be less than 50mm under the maximum stroke.
4. To prevent the split pin at the lower end of hand braking axle from being extracted after shedding, h2 < h1.
5. Position of hand braking wheel on truck:
5.1. The minimum distance from the lower edge of hand braking wheel of covered truck to top surface of covered truck shall not be less than 80mm.
5.2. The distance from the lower edge of hand braking wheel of tank truck and guard truck to top edge of handrail of truck end shall not be less than 80mm.
5.3. Where the hand braking wheel of open truck is above the upper end beam, the minimum distance from lower edge of wheel to upper end beam shall not be less than 80mm; where the hand braking wheel of open truck is below the upper end beam, the minimum distance from upper edge of wheel to upper end beam shall not be less than 200mm.
6. Hand braking axle chain must be provided with reeling amount of 0.5~2 circles.
