1 Scope
This standard specifies general terms of textile materials in aspect of properties and test and is applicable to textiles like fibre, yarn and fabric.
This standard excludes specialized terms related to a single state of products.
2 Terms
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.
2.1 inspection
measurement, check, test and the like carried out for one or more characteristics of a product as well as activities carried out for determining the conformity condition of each characteristic where the obtained results are compared with specified requirements
2.2 grade
classification or grading carried out for products which have the same functions but different requirements for quality.
2.3 requirements for quality
expression of quantitative or qualitative requirements which are required or to be required to be converted into a set of provisions for substance characteristic, so as to realize them and assess them
2.4 conforming unit
products conforming to all the requirements
2.5 lot
counting unit divided according to product material, production process as well as various purposes
2.6 lot sample
one or more package units randomly taken from a lot of products as required and serving as the source of laboratory sample
