1 Scope
This standard specifies methods for quantitative chemical analysis of quaternary fibre mixtures in textiles.
This standard is applicable to content analysis of quaternary fibre mixtures in textiles.
2 Normative References
The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. For dated reference, subsequent amendments to (excluding correction to), or revisions of, any of these publications do not apply. However, the parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards. For undated references, the latest edition of the normative document referred to applies.
GB/T 2910 (All Parts) Textiles - Quantitative Chemical Analysis
3 Principle
After qualitative identification, mixture components are properly pretreated to remove non-fibrous matter. Appropriate reagents are selected to dissolve one or several fibre components in the mixture. The mass percentage of each fibre component is calculated according to the weight loss from dissolution or the mass of residual fibre.
It is recommended to remove the fibre component of greater quantity and keep the one of smaller quantity as the final non-soluble residue unless there are technical difficulties.
