This standard specifies pressure-temperature rating, materials, design requirements, inspection and test, marking as well as non-destructive inspection and repair of industrial steel valves. This standard is applicable to materials given in Table 1 (valve body may be cast, forged, welded in combination; flanged, threaded and welding end connection may be adopted as the end connection) and wafer type and single-flange valves. Parameter ranges applicable to valves in this standard are as follows: a) For the valves with nominal pressure PN16~PN760, the nominal pressure PN760 is only applicable to welding end valves; b) Valves on flange connection ends and valves on butt welding ends with nominal size not greater than DN1250; c) Valves on socket weld ends and valves on threaded connection ends with nominal size not greater than DN65; d) Valves on threaded connection ends with rated temperature and nominal pressure not greater than 540℃ and PN420 respectively; e) Valves on flange connection ends with nominal pressure PN16~PN25 and rated temperature not greater than 540℃.
