This standard is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 18387-2008 Limits and Test Methods of Magnetic and Electric Field Strength from Electric Vehicles - Broadband 9 kHz to 30 MHz; the following technical changes have been made with respect to GB/T 18387-2008:
—— the standard name is modified;
—— the test frequency band is modified (see Chapter 1);
—— the limits of magnetic and electric field strengths are modified (see Chapter 4);
—— the requirements and related test content for the conducted emission limits are cancelled (see 4.2 in edition 2008);
—— the arrangement height of loop antenna is modified (see 7.3);
—— the measurement of magnetic field in vertical direction (see 5.4.3 in edition 2008);
—— the operation mode of the test vehicle is modified (see 8.1).
This Standard was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee 114 on Road Vehicles of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 114).
The previous editions of this standard are as follows:
——GB/T 18387-2001 and GB/T 18387-2008.
Limits and Test Method of Magnetic and Electric Field Strength from Electric Vehicles
1 Scope
This Standard specifies limits and test method (test frequency range 150kHz~30MHz) for electric and magnetic field strengths from vehicles.
This Standard is applicable to electric vehicles including pure electric vehicles (PEV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV).

For the purpose of this Standard, terms and definitions given in GB/T 29259 apply.
4 Limit Requirement
For limits of electric field strengths, see Table 1 and Figure 1; for limits of magnetic field strengths, see Table 2 and Figure 2. For the method of derivation for the limits above, see Annex A.

5 Test Site
The test site may be an absorber lined shielded enclosure (ALSE) or an outdoor test site (OTS), and both shall meet the requirements of GB 14023-2011.
6 Test Instruments
6.1 Overview
The measuring instruments shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6113.101. The background noise of the measuring instruments shall be at least 6dB lower than the limits.
Note: to meet the requirement "background noise 6dB", a pre-amplifier may be arranged between antenna and scanning receiver when parasitic antenna is adopted; attention shall be paid to the overload characteristics of the magnifier and the receiver. It is recommended to use an antenna with active matching unit and in such case pre-amplifier is not needed.
6.2 Parameters of Scanning Receiver
For setting of bandwidth, step and residence time parameters for scanning receivers, see Table 3.
