Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe
1 Scope
This standard specifies terms, definitions, main symbols, classification, raw and auxiliary materials, pipe manufacture technical requirements, pipe fittings, test methods, inspection rules, marking, transport and storage as well as application requirements and certificate of merchandise of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe.
This standard is applicable to the manufacture of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe with nominal inner diameter of 400 mm~4,000 mm and pipeline operation working pressure or static head pressure not exceeding 2.0 MPa; and it may serve as a reference for the manufacture of pipe exceeding the range given in this standard.
Pipes manufactured according to this standard may be used for municipal water supply and discharge main pipe, industrial water pipeline, farm irrigation, factory pipe network, power plant make-up water pipe and cooling water circulation system, inverted siphon, pressure tunnel pipeline, pipe ditch, pipe gallery and culvert pipe with large height of fill above its top.

4 Classification
4.1 Product classification
Prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) is classified into lined prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCPL) and embedded prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCPE) by structure and into prestressed concrete cylinder pipe with single gasket (PCCPSL, PCCPSE) and prestressed concrete cylinder pipe with duo-gaskets (PCCPDL, PCCPDE) by pipe joint sealing type.
4.2 Specifications and dimensions
Basic dimensions of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe shall be in accordance with those specified in Tables1, 2 and 3 respectively; structure form of prestressed concrete cylinder pipe shall be in accordance with those specified in Figures 1, 2 and 3 respectively; shape and dimension of steel loop of pipe socket and spigot joints shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 4 and Figure 3.
Note: pipes of other specifications and dimensions may be produced, based on the agreement of both the supplier and the purchaser.
